Thanks!

Power of Thanks in Advance

Key Scripture: “It is impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 The Message

Power Point: I was meditating this morning on how important it is for us to give thanks in advance. Sometimes we think of prayer as simply coming and begging God for an answer, but what if you simply began to thank Him in advance for the answer that He has promised? For example this morning I awoke to find myself saying “Thank You for awakening my ear to wisdom today Papa”. “Thank You that You have already called this day blessed”.

“Thank You for going before me and making twisted places straight”. “Thank You for what You are doing in my family.” “Thank You for a fresh supply of lovingkindness and tender mercy today”. “Thank you for perfect health, abundant provision and protection.” You get the idea.

I’m not begging for those things, I’m thanking Him in advance for what He has already promised. Can you feel a difference in your spirit in that kind of prayer? It’s called faith and it begins with knowing that He exists for you and that He cares enough to respond to you.

Why not give it a try? Thanks! In advance.

Thank You that as I speak God’s promises, they come to pass. They STOP ALL attacks, assaults, oppression, and fear from my life. They move every mountain.

I am getting a jump start on praise, by thanking You ahead of time for what I know to be a "sure thing". I'm exercising my faith muscles and thanking You for what I know You are in the process of doing for me.
