Power of the Promises
Key Scripture: If you live in Me, abide vitally united to Me-and if My Words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
Power Point: Every promise of God has a condition. The problem with most of us is that we want the answer but without meeting the requirements. Then we blame God. Let’s say I am the President of a pickle company and I hire you to pack pickles in a certain way so that they could be shipped without damage and I promise to pay you for doing that job. I agree to pay you every week for your work. Unfortunately, you don’t particularly like packing pickles. In fact, packing pickles particularly tries your patience so after the first day or so you stop. You read a book or do Sudoku or whatever but at the end of the week you come to me demanding your paycheck. What do you think I would say? I have the money to pay you-that’s my part, but our agreement was that you would do your part. If I don’t pay you, am I wrong or are you wrong?
God’s promises are there for every single one of His children. He LOVES to see us receive them. But He has made an agreement that there is something we must do first. So-look at your promise and find the condition and then check to see if you’re doing your part. If not, then change direction and get back on track. Get those pickles packed and on their way.
